Introduction to Recovery Residences in the US

This course offers an introduction and overview of recovery residences in the United States. Recovery residences are sober, safe, and peer support living environments that promote recovery from substance use and co-occurring issues. All are rooted in the social model recovery philosophy; however, they range in the intensity of services they provide. This creates a spectrum of options that cost-effectively match the diverse and changing needs of individuals starting and learning to sustain recovery from substance use issues.
