Multiple Criteria

Providers can be bundled with recovery housing with outpatient treatment, requiring everyone living in the house to be enrolled in a specific outpatient program. Given the variability, it is helpful to describe the recovery housing component using the NARR Levels and outpatient component using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Given that a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an ASAM 2.5 and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), we can articulate various combinations, including:

• ASAM 2.5 + NARR Level II
• ASAM 2.5 + NARR Level III
• ASAM 2.1 + NARR Level II
• ASAM 2.1 + NARR Level III
